Hello,
I'm using centOS, version 6.2, php v5.3.3, mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.61, for redhat-linux-gnu (i386) using readline 5.1.
I have placed the complete install file in /var/www/html/photo/piwigo
When asking the page http://localhost/photo/piwigo, I recieve the message
"""
an error occurred
Give write access (chmod 777) to "_data" directory at the root of your Piwigo installation
""
So, I watch the log of apache and see
"""
[root@mulleyv-centos32bits httpd]# tail error_log -n 1
[Thu Mar 08 16:15:49 2012] [error] [client ::1] PHP Fatal error: Give write access (chmod 777) to "_data" directory at the root of your Piwigo installation in /var/www/html/photo/piwigo/include/functions_html.inc.php on line 428
"""
So, I list the file in the logical "root of the piwigo installation" and ask the rights of _data directory,
"""
[root@mulleyv-centos32bits httpd]# ll -d /var/www/html/photo/piwigo/_data
drwxrwxrwx. 2 apache apache 4096 8 mars 15:54 /var/www/html/photo/piwigo/_data
"""
Where is Piwigo trying to write? How can this be changed?
Cordially,
Re-Hello,
Here comes the solution. The access was impeded throught selinux, user as mentionned here (http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/SELinux#h … 12c2a02199) must change the security context throught the command :
"""
chcon -vR --type=httpd_sys_content_t .
"""
The root of the server is located in the expected location.
Rights, let's have a trial!
